Missions is the heart and soul of Southside Baptist Church. We believe that God has blessed our church greatly as a result of our faithfulness to give both to local and foreign missions. We are privileged to support 35 missionaries and evangelists most of which are in foreign countries. By God’s Amazing Grace, we are able to support these missionaries and evangelists monthly through faith-promise missions.
Missions should be in the heart of every born-again Christian today. Millions are lost without Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and there are so many places that we cannot reach without the help of missionaries. By faith, we give to these missionaries and evangelists in hopes that they can reach the uttermost parts of the earth with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ! However, we must not forget the need for each Christian to be a missionary right where they are. People need Christ and we must be that light to point them to the Saviour.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Psalm 40:16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
